Interesting poll from New York State.

There seems to be pretty wide support for the simplest suggestions about gun legislation. Of course the NRA/ILA and many gun nuts oppose all of it.

If you think children should have access to guns, you may be a gun nut. Nawwww, face it, your definitely are a gun nut.

Of course the gunners will poo-poo the poll because it was done by a gun control advocacy group even though it was a random phone number poll. They will believe that somehow the group rigged the random number dialer.

the casing from being left at the scene, or use a revolver, or it won't help in all cases, the microstamping mechanism wears off after thousands of shots."

Those guys are already thinking about how to protect themselves in case they mess up and shoot an unarmed kid, somebody running away, innocent bystander, etc.

Don't get me wound up about the callous yahoos who are into lots of guns and toting them around in public.

I spend a year "over there" trying to actually discuss possible ways to reduce gun violence. Got my intelligence, my motives and integrity challenged.
