7000 Armed, Anti Gun-Control Protesters Protest Obama In Roseburg Oregon! (er, well, maybe not 7000)

(cross-posted from GD)

Er...well, there were 7000 RSVPs on the protest Facebook page. So what if only six people showed up? (And three of them only showed up because they thought it was a lineup to buy Ted Nugent tickets.) Three people waving Gadsden flags around is usually enough to send half the members of Congress to the washroom to change their underwear. Especially after Fox News has spliced in a few crowd shots from a Moral Monday protest to make it LOOK like there were 7000 people there...

They follow the Hillsboro Baptist school of political tactics.

she didn't want to give her full name. There was a large Confederate battle flag behind her -- presumably someone celebrating Oregon's Confederate heritage.

Well, this thread was further down so I didn't see it before SS's, & I read the bus schedule wrong, I got 45 minutes till it comes!

10/11/ 2015: Hundreds of irate Oregonians, toting guns and nasty signs, gave President Obama a derisive Friday welcome before he sat with relatives of last week’s college shooting victims. “Obama Go Home” and “Go Back To Kenya” read two of the crude homemade posters held aloft by demonstrators who rolled out the rhetoric, not the red carpet for the commander-in-chief.
“He’s exploiting a local tragedy to make a political point,” griped Bruce Rester, 66, who came from Glendale, Ore., carrying a .45-caliber automatic handgun.
The protest was organized by a gentleman named Casey Runyan. Casey Runyan, activist and 2014 Republican candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives,
In December 2004, Runyan was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and felony assault in which he later pleaded guilty and served eight months in county jail.

I guess under FOPA 1986, with nra support, Runyan got his gun rights reinstated.
And I guess to be fair, some gun control protesters are ex cons as well, eh?
Even so, "Runyan Go Home".
