Clinton brings gun control message to N.H.

KEENE, N.H. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton brought her message about tighter gun control to New Hampshire on Friday, days after forcefully challenging Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont on the issue during the first Democratic presidential debate of the 2016 campaign.
Much of Clintons introduction during a nearly two-hour town hall forum was dedicated to how she planned to curb gun violence and enact legislation to keep firearms out of the hands of violent felons, domestic abusers, and the mentally ill as president.
In a question-and-answer session that followed, voters asked Clinton about everything from clean energy to student debt to gay rights.
Among the elected officials, students, and campaign organizers who praised the former first lady in the 20 minutes before Clinton took the microphone was Clai Lasher-Sommer, who described being shot by her abusive stepfather as a teenager 45 years ago.

But much of Fridays town hall in Keene Clintons third visit to the city during her 11 trips to New Hampshire was dedicated to answering more than a dozen questions from the multigenerational audience. Voters wanted to know what Clinton thought about the countrys nursing shortage (expand programs; increase the number of students in the pipeline, she said), genetically modified food (not completely in favor, but not totally against), and the Glass-Steagall law dealing with commercial banks (her plan, she says, is tougher and more comprehensive)................
