mocked here on DU. There's a liberal if you ever saw one. I'll never forget the sight of Harkin sobbing on national tv about that plane crash.

"A liaison to liberals? I've never heard of such a thing," said Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), throwing his hands in the air. "I asked her about it and she said she was some kind of adviser. I don't know what it is. I don't know what that all means."

So they haven't been briefed yet. Why is it something to chortle about?

Harry Reid made the appointment. That's what is significant. He created this opportunity for her. I think he's got something in mind, and she's amenable to it.

Paul was my best friend in the Senate. But in truth, he was one of those rare souls who so many saw as their best friend. He had a powerful authenticity that made a miner in the Iron Range know he was as important to Paul as the president of the United States. The hard-working folks he cared about most didn’t have lobbyists or influence. But they had Paul Wellstone.

But even he confesses that he does not know what she will be doing.

I have to presume that Reid has something up his sleeve. At least I hope so.

Apparently Warren is happy about it. We are going to have to wait and see.

One thing is sure. It's gonna piss off the Senate Republics.

Looks like Dems are scrambling to get on the Progressive Wagon, or something.
What worries me a bit - this position makes it more logical or easy for Hillary to pick Liz as VP, which (IMO) would be just to neutralize her and a ploy to pick up progressive support.
Of course, VPs are not picked until after the primary is won, right? I still feel, a bit, like primaries are not wanted this time. Too expensive, and the crown might get pushed off.

“She is not a lonely voice when it comes to trying to make sure Americans in this country get a fair shot,” McCaskill said. “I think Elizabeth Warren speaks for a lot of us when she talks about those issues, not just the more liberal organizations out there.”

No, there is Sanders and a few others. Pretty much a lonely voice, though. Too bad "more liberal organizations" doesn't just mean the Democratic Party any more.....
