Is it a law that says I need to give a phone number to donate to Warren?

I couldn't get a donation to be accepted with the field blank. I'm not asking anyone to spend a lot of time finding an answer to why my tiny donation wasn't accepted but if anyone knows offhand and can answer, thanks!

Disclosure and campaign transparency laws warrant all info be true and verifiable I think. graham4anything Apr 2013 #1

I know if you donate to her thru Act Blue, there's no request for a Ph. #. Some legislators DO ASK for a number, and I think it's so they can occassionally solicit via phone - but a law - no.

for helping promote E. Warren. I thinks she's great also and maybe our new "Wellstone".

I want to donate to Warren because she earned it but also because the larger the number of people who donate the more it will stick in the craw of long seated politicians who've sat silent.

I guess I'll suck it up and provide my phone number though I hate doing that, and not just on principle.

If it's not the law that it's required maybe whoever manages the website can adjust the form.

Edit: Sent the contribution.
