Warren silent on Clinton candidacy

Warren silent on Clinton candidacy
4/13/2015

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made no mention of Hillary Clinton's newly-announced 2016 campaign during an economic speech on Monday, as she was greeted by a capacity-crowd that held "Run Warren Run" signs.

Warren urged labor groups and progressives to continue fighting against what she said was a Republican effort to deregulate the economy during her speech at the Good Jobs, Green Jobs forum.

...Warren advocated for more "smart regulations [that] give people information so they can make their own decisions."

Progressives have urged Warren to enter the race to challenge the former secretary of State, who formally announced her candidacy on Sunday. Warren has said repeatedly she is not running.

^Just an interesting observation...

Here's the forum video. Warren appears at around 42 mins or so~

Good stuff, as always!!!

(Actually this is a GREAT speech I wish the whole country would see/hear. Damn...)

1. There is really no reason for her to comment yet.

Let's wait until we see who else will enter the primary and then I think she will comment. So far, the only comments from Senators have been negative ones from Rethuglicans. Elizabeth Warren would never make a negative comment about Clinton.

4. True. But she didn't anything positive either.

She's reliably authentic & honest as always. If you can't say anything positive, don't say anything. Especially if it means torpedoing the only true candidate running for your party at this point.

We can only hope we have more to offer this country.

2. Why should she say anything? This braying for endorsements so early in the season

is ridiculous. Oh, and I do not consider "Hillary would make a fine president"an endorsement.
And even if Warren endorses Hillary - my head will not explode or anything like that, I will consider that just politics, and continue to not be on the Hillary train.

5. I think she'll only endorse Hillary if Hill ends up as our party nominee in the GE.

And then its expected. No heads exploding required. Like you said, its just politics.

6. Ready for Hillary claimed Elizabeth had endorsed Hillary vis a vis the letter from Senate females

...encouraging her to run.

link: http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/02/politics/hillary-clinton-2016-endorsements/

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts - Signed a letter with all other female senators backing a Clinton run.

Elizabeth has clearly NOT endorsed Hillary, in fact, saying Hillary may or may not be the future of the Democratic party.

7. No she hasn't endorsed Hillary, though their camp likes to use that letter meme for those not

politically savvy. Which is most of the general population! Warren explained in interviews she signed it because all the other women in the senate did. Can you imagine the fall-out had she been the only one to NOT sign it? The hounding by the media would've been unending...

8. This is the definition of crazy, too crazy to run: "because I know it's your time."

.

This won't be easy. And I won't take anything for granted. I'm going to work my heart out to earn every single vote, because I know it's your time.

That is waaay too egomaniacal for my tastes.

Was that a slip and she really meant to say because I know it's "my" time?
