It is official - Tom Hanks will be playing Mr Rogers in the upcoming biopic about the life of the beloved Fred Rogers.
Announced by Sony TriStar Pictures on Monday, the role will feature Hanks playing Rogers in the film titled 'You Are My Friend.'
Rogers is known for his role as Mr Rogers in the iconic childrens television show, Mister Rogers Neighborhood - and many are pleased with the casting.

'You Are My Friend,' the title of which has been taken from one of Rogers signature songs, is inspired by the real-life friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod

then it goes to the movie theaters, you watch the movie,.....................................
and then you can die.....rather that you didn't...but after seeing the finished movie, then you can..Actually, it is best that you stay here and continue to post in Democratic Underground. thank you.....

Seriously. My life is complete. I have loved Tom Hanks ever since Bosom Buddies (except for the dreaded Forrest Gump), and I have loved Mr. Rogers since . . . well, since Mr. Rogers.
