Related: About this forumThe Moth-- wonderful stories I hear on my local NPR station...
https://themoth.org/radio-hour...Today I tuned in late and go the story of a kid, Huwe Burton, who, at 16, was wrongly convicted of killing his mother. His father stood by him for all the years of trial and imprisonment and finally went home to Jamaica to take care of his ailing mother.
Father came back, but during the last visit it was clear had Alzheimer's and ended up dying a month or so before the case was thrown out and the Huwe Burton was released and exonerated.
Huwe himself narrates, and it is heart-wrenching.

Moth radio hour is a great show that I had forgotten since I haven't been commuting to work for months. Thank you.

(92,730 posts)6. I never heard of it until recently.
The NPR station in my area just started running that on Wednesday or something. I have the radio on most of the time and I never change the station so I hear most of what the local station airs. They made some major changes when the pandemic got going.
It's a good show, I like stories and these are new and alive so it's refreshing.
