He’d been sober a long time. They asked him how he did it and he said that’s none of your business. They took anonymity more serious back then. So many stars kept very low key and we didn’t really learn they were alcoholics till they passed. I guess society has learned to accept it more nowadays.

I am a fan of Martin Balsam who played the brother. Mr. Roberts' character to Mr . Balsam's character: "What happened to those roller skates?" (I am paraphrasing from my memory.)

"The Producers" every Spring during "Reading Period" (which was the 10 days before exams began)

The audience would cheer when the kid came out with his ukelali.

A supporting role, but every second that he’s onscreen is great.
