Wild with Reese Witherspoon

So I finally got around to watching Wild w Reese Witherspoon.

Did others like it?

I kept wanting to sympathize with her but I kept finding her unlikable.

I don't know if it was Reese or the writers who couldn't convey the character's humanity.

Or maybe it's just me.

I have a soft spot for Witherspoon and I like survival movies.

Such is life. I can see from the responses that it was kind of hit or miss with folks.

I think that it was sort of trying to be "inspirational" but I thought it was fairly depressing. I thought a few times too that something awful would happen to her- though nothing ever really did.

Just kidding. I found it hard to get into. She's a good actress but this wasn't her role, IMHO. It was like hiking - flashback - hiking - flashback but without deepening my understanding of her character or making me really like her. It was mildly disappointing to me and the family agreed.
