Women in series take lead roles and are not dependent on male roles like American TV. Plus American TV series follow a formula and each episode is pretty predictable. Here you learn the struggles the Soviet people took to defeat the fascists as the Nazis are referred to in the series. I learned that a way to tell if German saboteurs parachuted in was to have them take off their shirts and look for bruise marks around their arm pits. I guess jumping out of plane will do that.

All episodes:
