They're seriously making a remake of Ben-Hur?

1. Oh, yes!

"Ben Hur" seems a violation of sacred ground.

Soon we'll have a new TV production of "Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Dirty Dancing" TV is on the way, and "The Magnificent Seven" is ready for release.

3. Yeah, I saw the trailer for that in a movie theater

and was like WTF! There are so many talented script writers out there with fresh ideas. Take a chance on them Hollywood!

As always, Hollywood has little to no imagination.

They can't make it worse.

Might as well remake "God is Great". Oopsie, they've already done a sequel.

Most remakes, sequels and prequels to iconic movies usually suck tremendously.

The challenge faced in remaking Ben Hur will be in figuring out how to fit the massive explosions demanded in today's action flicks into a Biblical-era story.

BTW - the Heston original is a classic of its time. It holds up pretty well.

I have mixed feelings about the new one.
