A Star Is Born is good

My only complaint is that at 2:15, it's a little long. Lady Gaga can carry a big screen film. Bradley Cooper can sing and direct! He worked with a voice coach to lower his voice about an octave because he wanted Sam Elliott to play his older half-brother. Sam was sublime, as always.

The big surprise to me was Andrew Dice Clay in a smart part as Lady Gaga's father. Of course, it's the 4th time to tell this tale, but I still found myself crying a couple of times. As the daughter and granddaughter of alcoholics and the sister of a drug addict, it hit me pretty hard.

1. I really enjoyed it.

The performances, both acting and musical were great. I know it triggered a lot of alcoholics or those close to them because Cooper's portrayal was pretty damn good.
