As I sit in the theater with my friends at the midnight movies, circa 1984 ...

I'm right there w you. Heh heh. Oh man. It was a groundbreaking movie for cartoons back then hey? I'm right there w you on the state of mind. Those were the days. Had one buddy in particular that used to go to all these flicks w me. From Jaws to Star Wars to Heavy Metal to Rocky Horror Picture Show (with toast etc for the participation scenes), to...the list is endless. Good times.

Our midnight theater had 2 screens, so Rocky was every week on screen 1 and then screen 2 had something different every week, from Heavy Metal to Song Remains The Same to The Wall to Eraserhead to The Kids are Alright to Let There Be Rock to Dawn of the Dead and various other cool stuff ... it was awesome.
