Related: About this forum"Stalingrad" 1993
A brutal antiwar film. War is hell and this is 2 hrs and 15 mins. of hell. Something about the lead actor bothered me. I noticed him from other movies but couldn't place him. When I did place him it changed my mood about the film. Even a doomed screaming soldier who had been sliced in half reminded me of Monty Python. The star was the same actor who played FEGELEIN, FEGELEIN, FEGELEIN! in the Hitler reacts series of clips on youtube. ( "Downfall" 2004 )

(68,400 posts)3. I've got it on DVD and watch it every year or so.
I own a lot of German-language movies, and watch them to keep my German skills sharp.
I watched Hogan's Heroes and learned a couple of German words.
