I saw Cloris Leachman in Spanglish

She is terrific. The best actor in the movie. She plays a grandmother living with her daughter and she is always drinking wine. She hasn't had many juicy roles, but her work has always captivated me. I loved her in Mary Tyler Moore show, Malcolm in the Middle. She is 93 years old and still making movies. I am in awe of her stamina. I read that Marlon Brando tried to go after her, but she knew he was trouble and stayed away from him.

This was during a particularly bad time in Miss Garland's battle with her addictions and Cloris basically raised Judy's three children, making sure they were feed and safe...Liza, Lorna and Joey have all spoken very fondly of her kindness to them and their mother.

Her one season playing the mom on Lassie? I'll never forget her death scene in Kiss Me Deadly, acting with just her voice and her legs.

Movie of the week: Cloris is pregnant (Never mind that she is 49 at the time and has no belly bump ) Movie is pure camp, but the LA Health Dept said drew awareness to syphilis testing.

She sings the theme song too (poor quality probably recorded from someone's TV)
