Related: About this forumAmsterdam (2022) it hit my sense of humor perfectly.
Critics are up and down on it. For me it's one of the best I've seen in a long while. It might hit a sour note with some of my "Patriot" friends.

(13,258 posts)Could have been a bit shorter, editing a little sloppy. The acting was crazy good from the entire cast. The bad reviews that I read ahead of time had to come from some pretty damn lazy folks. I didnt think it was at all difficult to follow, but a lot of them seemed to be lost in some kind of an elaborate corn maze with no way out. But I suppose that if your tiny brain is used to being fed instant information from green screens, you dont have to give any great thought to plot. Im not sure how I felt about the ending I might have preferred something a bit more subtle or nuanced. Everyone well knew the message by that time.

(34,370 posts)LOVED it. It was my husband's birthday movie, a long time thing we do. It had such bad reviews but I kept looking at that cast and I thought that at least the acting would be good and fun to watch. We went with one of our sons and it is Wednesday but there were only 4 other people in the theater. After all the dumb ass stuff that we get for movies these days this one was really wonderful.
I would watch anything with Michael Shannon in it. I had no idea Margot Robbie was that good. I will certainly watch it again when it streams.
