I watched it in three parts over two days - Part I: Everything; Part II Everywhere; Part III All At Once
I have no freaking idea about what was going on in this movie.
I came away feeling that I wasted a lot of time.
What the hell was this?

(10,394 posts)The parallel universe plot was a mess that did nothing to make me care about the fate of the characters. But it's already won a ton of awards and probably going to win Oscars.

(5,827 posts)Alternate universe. Every version of yourself is out there and still involves all your loved ones in some capacity. It also has to do with mother daughter angst and accepting the life you have because in the end all is meaningless.

(113,822 posts)It does feel very disjointed at first, but, comes together in the last part with a tenderness that I found expressive and touching.
The craziness of our thoughts, family peculiarities, and just functioning in a world of rules and norms that really dont seem normal from some perspectives.
By the end, I loved it. And loved it more an hour later, then the next day.

(14,658 posts)kurt vonnegut movie" Slaughter House 5" It just started off with a bang with no references. It took me a while to figure out the movie started in the middle and jumped all over the place..
YMMV...

(359 posts)After the initial novelty of the different dimension thing I found it boring and repetitive. There were some humorous bits here and there. I only made it maybe 20 to 30 minutes into the film. I fell asleep watching it and had no interest in finishing it the next day. The whole "Sherman and the Wayback Machine" dimension thing got stale really quickly. I don't think it deserves an Oscar or any other award.

(24,013 posts)I couldn't even finish it. Thought it was a waste of time, even though I only saw 1/2 of it. Looked like it was made by someone with ADD.
