Dreamfields-- miracle or scam...

http://www.dietdoctor.com/the-dreamfields-pasta-fraud

http://www.diabetesforums.com/forum/carbohydrate-and-calories/64273-the-dreamfields-pasta-fraud.html

Haven't tried it for at least a year or two, but just saw it on sale and gave the linguini a shot.

This stuff is pretty expensive, even when on sale, but would be worth it if it works. I remember a while ago hearing that if you overcook it the carbs come back, and that could be a reason for some to have bad results.

I had some al dente last night and it didn't spike my blood sugar nearly as much as a bowl of Cheerios would, but I need to do more testing.

Anybody else know about this stuff?

Something about the taste/texture is not quite to my liking but it does not affect my sugars like regular pasta. As to the over cooking I wouldn't know as we are an al dente family. Reading your first link- especially at the bottom with the ada test- it makes you wonder, but then the comments are mixed. I don't eat pasta often. I suppose I should do close monitoring after eating dream fields.

eat pasta now, but I did love it pre-diabetes; it would be great if there was a decent substitute.
