He put on muscle and is a quality defender, with enormous stamina (which everyone saw) as well as being the greatest shooter.

AND! He's a gentleman's gentleman. A truly outstanding father and community member.

An inspiration to all, especially the not so tall.

His Wikipedia photo shows genuine warmth.

Only downside is that his play encourages kids to focus on three point shots, but all his other skills are off the charts.

Loved my Celtics.

Warriors were literally the walking wounded for two years, and rookies got time to grow.

Just enjoy some curry with those baked beans and scrod. That's a fine team.

Oh! the old ownership of the Warriors. A long-running horror show.

https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/worst-trades-warriors-history-ranking-five-deals-backfired

The Warriors moved to the Bay Area from Philadelphia in Chamberlain’s fourth season, and it got off to a great start. The Big Dipper averaged 44.8 points and 24.3 rebounds per game during the 1962-63 season, winning the Western Division title before losing in the NBA Finals to the Celtics in five games.

However, the Warriors failed to make the playoffs the following year. Worse, the Warriors weren’t drawing at the Cow Palace and Chamberlain began feuding with his coach.

The trade was completed hours after the 1965 All-Star Game at former St. Louis Cardinals’ outfielder Stan Musial’s restaurant. By the end of the evening, Chamberlain was a 76er, in exchange for Connie Dierking, Paul Neumann, Lee Shaffer and cash.

Chamberlain became one of the best centers in league history, later winning a title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1971 while Dierking, Neumann and Shaffer never made an All-Star team.

Wait, it gets worse.

Wanting a fresh start, the Warriors traded Parish to the Boston Celtics for the No 1. and No. 13 pick in the 1980 NBA Draft, giving Boston the No. 3 pick. By the end of draft night, Boston ended up with Parish and Kevin McHale while the Warriors chose Joe Barry Carroll and Rickey Brown.

Parish flourished in Boston, winning four titles in the 80s alongside McHale and Larry Bird, whom the Warriors passed on in the 1978 draft.

New management is considerably smarter.

Giants yanked Yaz's grandson Mike out of the Orioles farm system and he's all-star material.
I don't know if you saw, but it was a pretty magic moment when he hit a home run in Fenway with Grandfather in attendance.

Bet Durant is sorry he left for the Nets and that head case Irving.

The Dubs will be even stronger next year when they get their 7 footer Wiseman back from season-long injury.

If I was the boss of the Celtics (listening Wyn?) I'd keep the core 8 together, I love the team - no one is to blame for this loss except all of them. But this is a very young team that has progressed for the past 3 years. I think they have the coach, team. and President to deliver this kind of basketball excellence well into the future.

Warriors fan since the eighties here. I rooted for them for years and years when they were horrible, which just makes this better. Note to everyone reading this, never give up on your team.

This was the best win since 2015. The KD years, in some ways, felt like an obligation to win. This is pure joy. They had to endure two years of hell, injuries and lowered expectations to get back to this. The Celtics were one of the best teams they’ve faced in the finals and they still did it. Wiggins was supposed to be a bust, Poole and Payton were supposed to be kids who weren’t ready, they were supposed to be too small. It didn’t matter. It’s all about the team.

I love the world right now.

Boston, not so much. Lots of give-aways for transition points.....disaster.

Still, I go this team next year. A year wiser and a year more motivated. Pieces in place.
