Set the all-time Kentucky and SEC record for consecutive victories. They must be cheating?

(42,770 posts)Amazingly poorly coached. Firing worthy in my opinion. They had a big lead and then dropped the tempo to stall - and went 12 minutes no basket. They also had 21 turnovers.
The bright side - was the team that beat them - Georgia State? - coolest coach. Spent the whole game on a rolling desk chair because his leg is in a cast due to celebrating too much when they got into the tourney. They showed him in the locker room and he pointed to the camera and said, "Obama ! Hope you run the country better than you pick basketball winners." and started laughing. How can you hate them now.
Georgia State vs Kentucky for final game !! LOL

(4,450 posts)I truly believe we have a shot to beat Kentucky, but it is impossible not to see you as the favorites to win it all. I am very confident that it will be close- we simply don't ever get blown out. It would not surprise me at all if it comes down to the last possession, just like last year. We're significantly better than we were a year ago, as is Kentucky!

(112,762 posts)Kentucky is a defensive wall. Wisconsin leads the nation in "offensive efficiency". They score points more often than any other team. That is the challenge for the Wildcats. They must stop the Badgers on a few rotations and score the ball themselves, in order to win. The difference may be that the Badgers are not the best defense in the nation.

(4,450 posts)Wisconsin is a good defensive team, but they are not Kentucky. Kentucky is, as you said, a wall defensively.

(4,450 posts)Foul trouble for Wisconsin. When it comes to our bigs, there is a HUGE dropoff between the three who start and the next two bigs off the bench. No slam on our reserve frontcourt players, but if there are a lot of fouls called Kentucky will eat the Badgers alive. In fact, if one were to take away each team's starting five and play the game with the remaining guys, Kentucky wins by thirty or more. That is not an exaggeration...it might even be an understatement.

(112,762 posts)I have been suggesting that they go inside on every play, just like they did against Notre Dame, where they did not miss a shot in the last 9 minutes and still barely won, as the Notre Dame player threw up a prayer which was not answered. But Wisconsin is a tough team to outscore otherwise.
