Angel Reese and the WNBA returned to action following a multi-week break.
The WNBA took a multi-week break in the regular season due to the Summer Olympics in Paris, France. But the action returned this week, with the Chicago Sky and everyone else getting back into the thick of the regular season.
The Chicago Sky topped the Los Angeles Sparks, 90-86, on Saturday. Reese, the former LSU Tigers standout, had another big game, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. It was yet another double-double for the WNBA Rookie of the Year candidate.
But earlier in the week, Reese and the Sky suffered a tough loss to the Phoenix Mercury. While Reese had another big outing in that contest, she was not interested in talking about her personal accolades following the game. She called out a reporter for asking her about it post-game.
I dont want to hear about no records, she said.

(17,453 posts)She has a lot of work to do in the off season, her fg% is atrocious, last two games she shot 4-14 and 4-13. Season average is 39%, even for the wnba that's really bad for a big.
Caitlin Clark just had a game that for a rookie only steph and Jordan did. Against my Mercury, it's like they forgot how to play in the 1st. BG isn't the defender she should be.
