Angel Reese Joins Shaquille O'Neal in Record Books After Historic WNBA Accomplishment

Angel Reese has added yet another WNBA record to her resume, a feat she now shares with an NBA Hall of Famer.

Reese scored 13 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in the Chicago Sky's 82-80 loss to the Connecticut Sun on August 23. The rookie also scored 19 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in her team's 86-68 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on August 18.

Though the pair of losses dropped the Sky to 11-17 on the season, they also put Reese in the record books as the first player in WNBA history to record at least 20 rebounds in consecutive games.

The feat also put Reese in some rare company. The last time any rookie had two consecutive 20-rebound games was in 1993 when fellow LSU star Shaquille O'Neal accomplished the feat with the Orlando Magic.
