NBA fines Paul George $35K for criticizing refs

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George has been fined $35,000 for comments he made following Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, the league announced.

Despite getting the 104-97 victory, George was highly critical of the referees following the game, cursing them in an on-air television interview. He then continued to rip the officiating to reporters in the locker room.

The NBA fined George for public criticism of officiating and using profanity in a live TV interview.

"It's frustrating when the guys I'm matched up with have less fouls than I do and they're not attacking as much as I'm attacking," George told Nate Taylor of The Indianapolis Star. "It's very frustrating and it's been going on for a long time."
