I Am Sick And Tired of the growing Purge like Athmosphere On GD.
I was locked Twice tonight for criticizing Hillary Supremacy.
And check the inflamatoryes thread they opened re. my OPs in ghe HRC group! Infuriating.
Apparently I am not legitimate to show interest in Dem primaries and candidates.

(14,733 posts)I figure that's the simplest way to avoid reading any post that might tempt me to say something that might get me on the wrong side of the ToS at some point, so that the RWers of the party can get me booted.

(14,255 posts)And, of course, this post will likely show up there - supporting Hillary is great, but the mocking and sneering at those who do not care for Hillary really makes supporting Hillary a club I do not ever want to associate with.
I will likely just set my account to not show OPs with titles with "Hillary" or "Clinton" in them - cannot imagine what I would be missing, and if she is the candidate, I will be pretty much out of politics for a while. Will certainly not be engaged with the campaigning.

(113,130 posts)The Hillary Clinton group is also trashed.
I'm sick of conservatives and I'm sick of cult of personality types and I'm especially sick of royal families.
Trashing all that stuff on sight keeps me out of trouble.

(45,251 posts)Ike and St. Ronnie, maybe even Dimson, being perhaps exceptions to that rule.
The theory I've heard is that Republicans (maybe rightist Libertarians, too) focus on building from the ground up, organization, candidates waiting their turn, ala McCain. (Not sure what choice McCain had, after Rove started the dirty tricks campaign against McCain, but whatever. It's a theory.)
Democrats, on the other hand, look/hope for the charismatic knight in shining armor to swoop in and save the day. FDR, JFK, Bubba, Obama.

(40,416 posts)Which is against the POS.
So now you bring your Meta to other groups and forums?
If you have a respectful argument for or against a candidate they will not be locked. Meta is not a very constructive way to accomplish that, which is precisely why it violates the POS.

(40,416 posts)As is this OP.
Enough, please.
If you have an argument, present it respectfully and to the point. If people make personal attacks, use alert.
But Meta posts make DU suck. There are many here who would wish people stop making them, which is precisely why they are against POS, and why your posts were locked.
Politics has never been like knitting. It raises passions. If one is polite one can sleep with a clear conscience. Then let the impolite fools go. Or use Ignore. Or Alert. Not Meta.
My best to you.

(40,416 posts)There is a place to ask questions about policies, the Ask an Adminstrator forum. There are facilities to smack down posts and posters who do not abide by the rules. MIRT (kicks off trolls, etc.), the alert/jury system, and the admins. Most groups and forums have hosts who police policies as well.
All groups and forums have statements of purpose which outline rules.
