Fellow Liberals: we're scaring the right people.

Third-Wayer Rahm Emanuel was forced into a mayoral runoff, the first time ever in Chicago for an incumbent IIRC. And this despite having a zillion dollars in contributions from people who stand to make money from his reelection, and the backing of some notable (confessed) Republicans.

Two years ago, only four Senators voted against the rich Wall Street Banker that Obama picked to negotiate the TPP and the other international assaults on the 99%. Today, Obama seems to be having some difficulty in getting the thing slipped through in secret.

Heard much talk from Democrats about cutting Social Security lately? About the need to eat our peas and all that bull#%^*? Not really.

And this weekend, A new milestone: our newest always-was Liberal, Hillary Clinton, vowed to search tirelessly for the real killer people who stacked the deck against the 99%. I can't wait to find the bastards.

And even the DUers who, just a week ago, were baying about the political foolishness of Liberalism are now proud Liberals themselves, but not like us previous Liberals who are still merely dolts short a pony, haters, ratf#%ckers or whatever.

We're not winning the thing yet, but we're making damned good progress.

First they steal your money
Then they moon you
Then they steal your message as candidates, then moon you once elected
Then you win
Unless you let them get away with co-opting your message

- Mahatma Goldstein (with deep aplogies to Mahatma Gandhi and all sentient beings everywhere)

Now comes the dangerous times. We Liberals are starting to mess up their plans for a fourth home here, a private plane there. They want their damned extra homes and planes, and they are rich, and they are smart, and they will #%^* up our *^%# to buy their doggies gold water bowls.

They are trying the easy way now, to co-opt our brand of political thought and action. I believe they will fail.

When the easy way fails, then things may get pretty ugly. They want our stuff, they think it belongs to them. They WANT IT, DAMMIT! Hell, we know they'll even start wars based on fantasy just to get the gold water bowls for their doggies. They are that disturbed.

Don't give it to them. Moon 'em back, instead.

If we hold fast, if we stay the course, if we're tough and press the fight, we will continue to make progress, then we'll win battles, then we'll win the war. Because we're right, and they're wrong, and this is why history has a well-known Liberal bias over the centuries.

We. Will. Win.

Because we are Liberals. The real deal.

the MIC more kids to get killed. The idea that oh, then Americans would literally have their kids' skin in the game so they would stop the wars is either hopelessly naive or wickedly cynical. Nobody in Washington cares what we think until election time - they are starting to get all of their money from CU - and the police, IMO, are actually looking forward to protests.

I'm for the closest relative, but I really wanted to see Cheney and Bush, Rummy and Ledeen and everyone who supported that atrocity over there in uniform fighting hard for what they said they believed.

Well, once it became clear they had lied us into war, I think that's where tall of them should have been sent.

But I definitely agree, those who start wars should have a huge, HUMAN stake in them.

reason is that the demographic that enlists most is poor people. I support that because Ithink the draft would put a check on wars. So would a war tax, such as the one FDR imposed (part of the reason the Eisenhower era had no problem with guns AND butter, but maybe also part of the reason Truman could go into Korea soon after WWII). Of course, neocons would support neither.

decision and chosen for political psychological propagandist reasons. It is dominate, rigid and masculine in its presentation.

The visual language established when designing with type can bring into play not only emotions, but also physical responses

For example by the use of these different fonts

Lubalin has succeeded in making an unpleasant message seem attractive and pleasing.

Typography is used to communicate tone of voice, personality, age, gender and mood, and it can be easily manipulated. If, instead of this serif font that so successfully represents this woman’s personality,

Now when we look at the Hillary Clinton Font used what does it tell us about what she is trying to convince about herself?

In fact they have made some rare public appearances, by way of the WSJ eg, where they wrote an OP trashing Elizabeth Warren for her populist views.

I believe one of them said that they had been listening to her, but then decided 'this is too much, she needs to tone down her speech' or words to that effect.

The backlash they got must have scared them even more as they eventually refused to respond to questions about WHY they decided to write such an article criticizing a very popular Senator.

Then they sent out Howard Dean to tell Warren she 'needed to tone it down'. That didn't work either and lost Dean a whole lot of respect. I guess they though we Lefties would be influenced by Dean. Shows how little they know about us ordinary people.
