If we had anything approaching a fair tax system, everyone should be taxed for this. A well-educated US populace is a boon to the entire US, not to mention the entire world. This is not an American exceptionalism post. I'm for education of everyone in every country, including computers, and/or easy access to computers. However, universal education is especially important for nations that have, and exercise, a lot of power in the world.
