This particular demographic, at least, won't change.

(14,320 posts)I still get a weed card so I don't get hit as badly, but people in LA get taxed around 30% without it. I can only imagine how the businesses get hammered.
I think I'll write my assemblyman about it.

But a base price, in many cases, of $75 for an eighth / 3.5 g is also exorbitant, IMO.

(34,069 posts)super good oz for $50 to $150. Everyone has a patch in the summer and many a grow room inside. It's just to easy to grow. I think Michigan is one of the lowest taxed states for this product.

(232 posts)If you visit Colorado, you'll find that residents are pretty happy with the revenue from cannabis sales. Quite a few legal outlets have 7 gram packages at $30-45 depending on potency and local taxes. The tourists are always welcome in Colorado and it's for more than just the beer.
