Looking for suggestions or advice on dry herb vaporizers
I've had a cheaper (around 120) one and have enjoyed it. Can use the already vaped bud to make edibles. Just like anything else, there are a lot of varieties and price ranges.

(27,517 posts)I havent used it in awhile. It has the advantage of portability, but theres no disguising the scent. Its also hard to get scrupulously clean, as I like. I typically dont use flower in semi-public places, preferring to vape concentrate instead. At home, I use a small water pipe, adding just enough for 2-3 hits. The dry herb vaporizer doesnt get used much now.

(302 posts)I enjoy the flavor and taste of dry vaping flower. You can distinguish the tastes of different weed, and all you are inhaling is the vaporized THC.

(36,333 posts)I found them a bit fiddley to use, but newer ones might be better. I've transitioned to exclusively using a vape pen. My lungs and throat were getting tired of proper smoke.

(18,282 posts)..Im sticking with proper smoke now in a pipe so I dont have to inhale anything i dont need to such as...paper.
But i do like the new ( to me) disposable vape carts.
I've been using the Pax vaporizer since it was invented. I can't do vape pens, something about the carts makes me breakout in a rash, plus bad head-trips. I can't recommend Pax highly enough. 10-year warranty, most discreet vape on the market, easy to clean, fun to use. A real winner.

I finally stuck it in the drawer and forgot about it. I have friends however that use it exclusively..

(14,375 posts)Maybe its too late for this thread for you, but I'd recommend it. After researching, I made the choice for this model. Beautiful design. I like it better than the Arizer Air I had been using. Easier to draw because of a bigger chamber and more perforations in the metal.
Has cool add ons. like a mini water pipe attachment. Coloured glass. Turn on and set the temperature with an led screen. It vibrates in your hand to know its ready.

(10,783 posts)Its manual dry herb vaporizer no batteries and very discreet and very low cost, entry level $49. Very little vapor escapes, at first I didnt think I was doing it correctly, but the clean high I got said otherwise. Absolutely no odor. My adult kids dont care if we, my wife and I, indulge but they dont like the smell even the lingering odor on your clothes after smoking outside. This vape doesnt bother them at all.
Biggest plus for me is the non electric aspect I always have a torch laying around but a lot of time Im not around electricity.
But that vaporizer with its switchable batteries looks good. Cost is a little more than I wanted to spend.
But thanks for the info. It looks like a good one.

(14,375 posts)I've never used a torch style vaporizer. Good point about the convenience of not relying on a charged battery. Some of these can get expensive. I look at it as an investment in something I use daily. So I'm okay with spending that much. There are other more well known brands like Mighty that are double that cost that do much the same thing. I do like the temperature control in a battery powered device, setting it to your preferred heat setting. The battery is fine for me as one charge is enough for one day of use, as I usually don't start until the early evening.
Amazing though in my lifetime, probably yours too, how things have shifted in acceptance of cannabis. And the sheer amount of choice now we have for delivery devices.

(10,783 posts)It sure is! Times have certainly changed.
At 71 Ive been using since my teens. I started seriously cultivating cannabis in the mid 80s. During those days everything was super stealth, outside or in a heated garage. We used to know what feed corn fields the farmers didnt pay much attention to and planted between the corn rows, harvests were about the same time. God awful stuff. Seeds from mostly bag pot on rare occasions we got good seeds through a friend.
Now
grow tents, awesome lighting, online help, Autoflowers, seed banks, legality.
Use now mostly for medicinal purposes. Dont get me wrong still love a good buzz! I make Raw Cannabis Tinctures and creams to relieve inflammation and the effects of arthritis.
AVB (already vaped bud) is awesome for teas, tinctures, edibles. As long as its not combusted it doesnt even smell bad. I sprinkled about an eighth teaspoon on my peanut toast this morning felt great all day.
