California's legal marijuana marketplace is coming with a kaleidoscope of new taxes and fees that could influence where it's grown, how pot cookies and other munchies are produced and the price tag on just about everything.
Be ready for sticker shock.
On a retail level, it costs about $35 to buy a small bag of good quality medical marijuana in Los Angeles, enough to roll five or six joints.
But in 2018, when legal sales take hold and additional taxes kick in, the cost of that same purchase in the new recreational market is expected to increase at the retail counter to $50 or $60.
At the high end, that's about a 70 percent jump.

(11,994 posts)A 1/4 of name brand (white widow, lemon skunk, gorilla glue, etc) would run me $90-$110 in Indiana. Bring on the legal "sticker shock" I say.

(18,282 posts)due to the forest fires so my plants just didn't grow. Looking at a grow box for 3500 but yours looks like something I can afford.
I am blogging this grow.
Hope it helps.
2 White Chem

6" Hyperfan on top of tent for exhaust vented to outside.
2 - 10" duct flanges with HVAC filters at intake.

How do you provide ventilation in one of these tents? Or do you just use those fans and no outside ventilation?
There is a top port on the tent. I made a hole in my garage ceiling to the crawl space.
I duct the tent so it blows out into that space.
Id buy an 8 next time but my 6 Hyperfan does job. Also. The air being pulled out is pre filtered through a charcoal activated filter to remove smell. No sense in overwhelming the neighbors during bloom...lol.

(21,716 posts)I have a small closet I was considering, and it has a crawl space over it, so that could work. What about moisture? Sure wouldn't want mold in the crawl space!
There must be people who make a living creating grow spaces for others.....

(42,718 posts)No one says they can't and with up to four healthy plants, one can get in a lot of smoke on a daily basis.

(18,282 posts)..which to me is a deal. Took Wash state a bit to get the price down but right now the prices are so good I'm not even renewing my MMJ card.
