Sessions will not be able to put the genie back in the bottle

or smoke back into the bong. Once people get something that they like taken away from them it rarely has any chance of going back. This goes for the healthcare/ACA repeal and replace debacle and the GOP is hoping that Americans will forget this when the midterm reelections are at stake. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

1. What is their strategy here? Given all the problems in the US, why go after legal pot?

What are they hoping to accomplish with this?

Which see a disproportionate enforcement. And with these convictions, they lose voting rights in many states - along with anyone with similar names in voting purges.

And then there's the whole private prison industrial complex lobby.

If I were Sessions, I would be spending more time consulting with my attorney about how
to stay out of prison. Not chasing pot smokers.

the officer, having smelled cannabis, fearful of a “deranged marijuana user, shoots and kills the cars inhabitant(s). The police will, of course, be “justified” in their actions. I say this as a middle aged, close to senior, white male.

To believe that cannabis laws will not be rolled back is naive. Another scalp for the tea party fundies.

is secretly going after legalization, trying to sway public opinion. A WH full of anti cannabis prohibitionists, pro drug war DRUG WARRIORS! I’m fairly sure this administration is not at all happy with what Canada is about to do come 17 OCT 2018. Canada, Mexico too, are moving left on their cannabis policy. Meanwhile it appears we’re going in the opposite direction. The AG has much to do with this although, by no means, is he the only one. John Kelly is another drug warrior dinosaur. Evangelicals, the American Taliban, want the feds to crackdown, hard on cannabis selling & using. And don’t forget Putin. He doesn’t like cannabis, or those who use it. I hope this is “much ado about nothing.” Time will tell. Maybe their plan, with waiting almost two years, was lulling us into a false sense of security? 😳😧

I'm figuring most of what this administration is trying to do is intended to line their pockets

of the anti cannabis drug warrior Republicans will be voted out. We know of one on the way out, Bob Goodlatte, R-VA, isn’t running for re-election. Hopefully Pete Sessions, R-TX gets booted. Same for my elected official, Rep. Andy Harris, R-MD. Let’s vote them out, ALL OUT!!
