I set out on a mission that night and returned to harvest the herb in the dark of night. I cut armfuls and armfuls, filled garbage bags with it, and stuffed the entire inside of my VW Bug with black plastic leaf bags of cannabis. Even the front trunk.

I didn't quite know what to do with it, so I drove around with it for a few days, until I finally found a place to hang it up in the hayloft of an old barn. A couple of weeks later, I cut it all down and laboriously packed the dried leaves into smaller bags.

Alas, upon first tokage, I realized what it was. Native Wisconsin Hemp, just like that used in ropes and sails. I tried to cough my way through a few ounces, but it was just too terrible, and gave me a headache.

It got moldy eventually, so I made a huge bonfire out of it. The smell drifted all through the neighborhood.

Moral of the story: Don't smoke native hemp.

there in the first place. Had it been really nice herb it would’ve been “long gone.” 🤔
