Firm sues over product it says is hemp; state says it’s pot

February 2, 2019

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A company has filed a lawsuit against Idaho State Police and Ada County after authorities seized nearly 7,000 pounds of cannabis from a truck headed to Colorado, the Idaho Statesman reported.

Authorities who stopped the truck said it was filled with marijuana, but Big Sky Scientific LLC, which was shipping the product to Colorado, said in the lawsuit that it’s industrial hemp, which is now legal under the recently passed U.S. Farm Bill.

Hemp is a non-psychoactive cousin of marijuana. Both hemp and marijuana are cannabis plants.

Marsano could not say how low of a THC content will generate a positive result by the field tests or whether the dogs were trained to differentiate between marijuana and hemp.

Still, he said transporting anything containing THC is a chargeable offense in Idaho.

is from Montana and they test product for CBD and THC. I worked a harvest of a hemp crop last fall, we sent them some of the product for testing. Hemp has .03 % or less THC.

Idaho is just a state run by asshole mormons and they hate anything that doesn't give them total control over what you do and blame it on gawd. It's why I moved to Montana after 14 years in Idaho.

I'm ever go glad I moved back to Montana.

I heard a joke while I lived there, your joke reminded me of it.

Why doesn't Texas fall into the Gulf of Mexico.
Because Oklahoma sucks.

That was back in the late 70's and the only person who laughed was a woman from Minnesota.

..drive to my house in wash state, bake pot brownies and take them back with her so she could get off the opiates. Shes a nurse and knows the damage they can cause. If she was busted for the brownies she would have gone to jail, yet the opiates are OK!
