What does "veg" and "reflower" mean?

I know a lot about pot (been smoking it since the 70s), but I'm no expert about growing it.

2. Sorry, using growing shortcuts.

I read too many forums, maybe.

Veg is in vegetative state, or not yet in flower.
Normally it is grown a few months and light is limited to 12 hour days
to force the plant in flower mode. Happens normally around August 1st in Oklahoma.

I harvested this plant once already. Cut the remnants of flowers off and put back into
longer days so it goes back into veg and grows big again. It was than put back into short
days 24 days ago to force back into flower.

Hope that helps.

thank you for explaining it.

I did some research on growing sensimilla back in the 70s, when it was starting to get big, and your explanation makes total sense.

I never thought of cutting the flower off before going to longer days, because I was under the impression that the lights were changed from long to short, over and over with the same flower in place.

Do you use that first flower? Does it work as well as the later flowers? Are they a Sativa, Indica, or hybrid?

Just curious, but once again, thank you.

4. I did use the first harvest, it was a normal harvest for the plant.

It was cut back to just a skeleton after the first harvest, just left enough leaves to keep it alive.

It is actually the length of the daily dark period that determines when the plant goes into flower.
This is Sativa and when the day length is less than about 14 hours with 10 hours total darkness
per day, it will go into flower. My outdoor plants are just now going into flower naturally.

5. How long does it take before you can see flowers starting?

I've been doing experiments with dandelion roots, and I was amazed at how fast the leaves grew back.

In less than 24 hours, you could see the new ones, and 24 hours later, they were already more than an inch long. Blackberry bushes are almost as fast.

Anyway, out here in Washington, you can have up to an ounce in your possession, but growing it wasn't included in that law.

I'm trying to figure out how to grow pot, but keep the plant itself under an ounce as it grows, or just move to Colorado.

I should start a thread, but once again, thank you for sharing.
