CBD. Three months ago my knees were giving me a lot pain so I thought what can it hurt to try CBD. I started taking it and about ten days in I felt great even painted the whole house inside. When I ran out of the gel caps I went off them for a couple weeks and my knee problem was back. Last Sunday I bought some more CBD and by Thursday felt great again. Maybe it is just coincidence or the weather I don't know. I am going to quit again this time and see what happens.

(36,697 posts)damp weather affects arturitus. But at least for now the CBD seems to help. Like I said I have felt great the last two days again.

(1,601 posts)Have been using CBD for at least five years daily. I dont have restless leg any more! I can sit on the couch without moving around. The gel caps didnt work for me. I buy a high percentage CBD oil and two droppers worth under the tongue does it!

(13,428 posts)My knees are showing some arthritis pain. My shoulder is pretty bad since I dislocated it with multiple fractures several years ago. The ortho said at the time I was probably gonna have to replace it about now--so I'm aware of how bad it is... Anyway, CBD will always help my knees and sometimes ease the shoulder pain. Lately I'm taking a 2:1 CBD/THC edible at bedtime, and that has helped a great deal. I don't do that during daytime, however, because I'm still working.
A LOT of people have told me that the creams and lotions with both CBD and THC are the bomb for the really bad daytime pains. That's next to try when I go to the dispensary.

(92,669 posts)Is what has made you feel great. I had a wonderful 8 months as a producer of sorts. My friend and I grew close to ten acres of high grade cbd hemp a couple years ago. We were juicing the leaves and drinking a little twice a day and I can attest that I would not have been able to help at all after a day or two if I hadn't been drinking that juice. It worked in about 20 minutes, lasted for hours. And that was the weak stuff. The second crop, a year later was so strong I had to dilute the juice and within weeks I couldn't drink it at all so I started making tea, weak tea, and it worked as well as the juice did for others. It killed all my arthritic pain for hours so that I could focus on what tasks needed to be done each day, I give the credit to our crop.
We also made oils, salves and tinctures with it and have had good reviews from our test case people. You might as well keep using it if you have no ill effects.

(6,797 posts)I tried cbd oil and also tried the chocolate whatever it is you can get at the dispensary. It gave me a buzz but didn't touch the pain.

(3,127 posts)worked well. I also take 20 drops 2x/day take of a 1:1 tincture (half CBD half THC). Recently, however, I tried Tommy Chong's (of Cheech and Chong) nano particle CBD oil. The nano particles CBD really work fast at stopping pain, (and it tastes good) however, it's only 100 mg (as opposed to 500 mg) so I have to take more of this than Yilo. Because the Chong CBD is nano particles it leaves the body faster so you might have to take it more often. The recommended dose for Chong's CBS is 20 drops 2/x day. Just google his name for his CBD website.
The literature says that CBS is an inflammation fighter and I'd agree, I just don't agree that it wipes out the inflammation, meaning if you start with CBD you will likely continue forever!

(5,588 posts)I have a volunteer shift on Thursdays when I'm on my feet a lot, and my knees were getting the better of me, so I started doing a couple of hits of a high CBD strain on Wednesday evenings. A couple of weeks after I started smoking it (I've since switched over to a vape pen) I was at a friend's house for dinner. I did something I hadn't been able to do in a few years...stood up from my chair without using my hands to push up from the edge of the table. My friend noticed right away.
I've recently been using a strain called Harlequin, which is high-CBD, but with enough THC to keep it fun and interesting . I've also used some that were pure CBD, and had good pain results but less fun.0
It seems like what it does is kill the inflammation, so repeated movement doesn't make it worse. I was amazed when I could just feel the pain draining out within a few minutes of use. With the low THC I get 'relaxed for about 20 minutes.
Haven't tried any high-CBD edibles, other than some canna-butter I made from some weed I had left after my cardiologist asked that I stop smoking it. He seemed to be OK with the edibles and vape, though. The butter works, but there was a little more THC in that batch than usual, so after about an hour of eating it I'm floating pretty good....but pain-free!
