O’Malley makes Wapello stop, says he’s excited to debate.
'Martin OMalley spent time in the QCA Saturday, working to set himself apart from the other Democratic candidates.
We caught up with him at a house party in Wapello. He says Louisa County is the 48th county he has visited in the last 120 days. And he tells us he is feeling optimisitc as he speaks with voters.
He is also optimistic because the Democrats are starting to hold debates. He says Iowans are hungry to learn more about who the candidates really are, and what choices voters have.
Im excited, OMalley says. Our Democratic race is now down to just three candidates. And now on the stage I think the differences will become very, very clear. I represent a new generation of Americans. I have, in my service, been an executive, a mayor and a governor who had to get things done.
OMalley says he has balanced budgets and pulled people together. He tells us Republicans arent the enemy, they are neighbors. He says both sides must work together to increase wages and bring change.'
