Former Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley plans N.H. trip

Former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley has scheduled a trip to New Hampshire, where he might be laying the groundwork for a second presidential run.

O’Malley, a Democrat, ran for president in 2016. But he dropped out of before New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary after a poor showing a week earlier in the Iowa Caucuses.

O’Malley has visited Iowa twice recently. Last week he held a town hall in South Carolina, which holds a primary soon after New Hampshire on the presidential nominating calendar.
