United Way event looks at working poor

Nov. 4, 2016

WIND POINT — Hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin residents keep the state running while in the background. They work behind cash registers, fix cars and take care of the young and elderly, but many of them struggle to meet their basic financial needs.

To help solve this problem, the United Way of Racine County is inviting the community to a free event at The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, 33 East Four Mile Road, on Nov. 10 to learn about the issue. Seating is at 4:30 p.m. and the presentation is scheduled to start at 4:40 p.m.
