This happened in a U.S. state's national wildlife preserve.

I won't mention the state in order to protect its workers.

Anyway, in a scenario that was probably duplicated thousands of times, yesterday and today, an employee proceeded to pay for a needed item with his federal credit card.

The purchase was denied as the card had been locked.

Well, so what, you ask? The employee should be glad they even have a job.
