The number of minors in GovGuam’s emergency shelter for Guam’s homeless has increased.

As of December 3, 2020, 107 individuals reside at the Global Dorm in Maite, an increase from previous months, and of this number, there are 53 minors, the Interagency on Homelessness and Office of Homelessness Assistance and Poverty Prevention (OHAPP) reported.

This includes 22 from the age of 0-2; 11 from the age 3-5; 17 from the age of 6-10; two (2) from the age 11-13; and one (1) from the age of 14-17.

Additionally, the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) screened 25 Global Dorm clients and determined eight individuals were eligible for services.
