primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

(5,420 posts)I mean, if they have other preferred candidates than Biden, or have undecided, that makes this poll misleading.
there are several doing that for Bloomberg, for example.

(38,770 posts)I count 17 declared Biden supporters picking Bloomberg. It doesn't look like the poll is misleading even if members who have other candidates picked as their preference or are undecided voted too.

(5,420 posts)So 10 out of 27 were not. That's 37%.
To me, and this is just my opinion, but I would call a graphic that is 37% off misleading or erroneous.
Your mileage might differ.

(5,420 posts)A 37% overage is a significant difference.
Thanks for doing the head count on that.

(16,692 posts)I fear that the Biden voters will either not vote, or support some moderate republican over the democratic nominee. Bloomberg is the "Jill Stein" of the moderates. I hope he doesn't decide to go "independent" in the general. There was a NBC based poll that showed Hillary supporters were overwhelmingly opposed to a Sanders nomination. This is going to get interesting.

(53,143 posts)crowded Democratic primary when he ran for mayor of NYC.
He's a moderate Democrat, true, but he's nothing like Jill Stein, whose candidacy helped elect Trump.
Sanders has been critical of the Democratic Party way too often in the past, and he's been a Democrat only briefly, when he wanted to run for president as a Democrat (since he knew he'd get absolutely nowhere trying to run for president as an independent). And his top aides and surrogates include a number of people who were Jill Stein supporters.

(16,692 posts)Bloomberg is in because he doesn't like the people that may be nominated. That's not a whole lot different than the Stein types that didn't like HRC being the nominee. I'm curious if he will actually accept/support a Bernie or Warren type nominee or work to undermine it.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided

(53,143 posts)the same reason the others are in the race, isn't it?
He's said he'll help the nominee even if it isn't him, and there's no reason to doubt him. And he can provide a lot more help than the others.
And in the meantime, if he does what he can to ensure the party doesn't nominate someone he feels is too far left to win, how in hell is that any different from those who don't want a moderate to win?

(1,731 posts)Biden is my 4th choice. He's my 1st choice now because he's the only one I truly believe can win a multifaceted coalition in the general election. I will vote for any person who is a Democrat. I just don't use that term as loosely as some others.
