Related: About this forumDear America, you sure love your old white men.
Elizabeth Warren was BORN in Oklahoma and appears to be coming in FOURTH place there.
I wish I was surprised.

(8,147 posts)Liz came very late to reaching out to AA communities and leaders. Her thing has been domestic economic policy to almost the exclusion of other issues.
And shes an old white woman, so?
Shes not a blamer though and I am sure will bow out gracefully on her own timeline.

(9,522 posts)Or stopping him. The media has been telling us that for weeks. Warren serves neither of those purposes. It doesnt have anything to do with her really. I wish she would have caught fire at the right time. I thought she was a great candidate.

(38,197 posts)Women have been elected in many countries around the world and even by some tribes in the US, since ages ago, but getting a woman anywhere near the presidency in the US (outside of Native American tribes), might take another 100 years or more, if ever. Americans just do not want women in charge of anything, except fetching beer and sandwiches and cleaning up. STILL.

(53,061 posts)3 out of 4 of the last presidential campaigns Democrats did not pick old white guys and in the 3 races that finished America chose them.
But carry on, why let facts get in the way.
I would have been happy with Warren as nominee and hope Klobuchar is the VP, but them being women had nothing to do with liking them.
