(21,464 posts)Pete and his decisions are fair game for scrutiny, just like any other candidate.
However, when you create an account and get banned and come back and acknowledge that a more senior forum member has now posted the article, then there's no sense in vowing to keep creating new accounts and re-posting that same news story over and over again. That's just obsessive.

(21,464 posts)who repeatedly make a point of dropping by threads to state their same critique. It is difficult to not resent these people but we have to maintain our civility.
I got a hide last week when this rather nasty individual (name REDACTED like in the Mueller report) kept insisting Mayor Pete's 15 minutes of fame were over when he said something that was critical of Hillary's 2016 campaign strategy. She said his support would keep declining.
So I replied to her. I let her know that I'd noticed she kept reiterating that opinion in various threads and that, even though we're almost all anonymous people on a discussion forum, she should be accountable for her words. I told her I'd happily revisit the thread and point out how wrong she was after Mayor Pete continued to ascend to even greater heights. Apparently that crossed the line because a jury removed my post.
So I put her on ignore instead. For now...

(24,622 posts)hateful and such), but one poster thought that no way Mayor Pete would win, and that we need to make sure that rump is taken out of office by an electable candidate (they were wanting an established candidate and such, my response was what happens if Major Pete actually wins primaries?).
The other poster finally quit beating around the bush and said that because Mayor Pete is gay, that he wouldn't have a chance.
Both fair and honest opinions. I did tell the 2nd poster to come on out and say the reason they had was that he was 'gay' (they couldn't say the word 'gay' perhaps because they might have thought that they would be perceived as homophobic or such). I can understand that.
It's possible that some could feel this way, believe it or not, a lot of people haven't really had the experience of dealing w/ a 'gay' person (could be in their environment these people are still in the closet, etc.). This is a learning experience (or will be) for a lot of people.
