(4,488 posts)survives all the attacks and comes out strong after Nevada and S.C., the main stream media will be eating crow. They'll clamor to again call Joe the front runner. Thing is, he never lost that spot. He's been front runner all along.

(18,282 posts)...i dont need lot cheer-leading at rallies. Hes already interviewed for me and got the job. I havent even watched the 'debates'. I would much rather see all the candidates engaged in Town Halls.

(11,477 posts)Because he is the right choice for this moment in time. As long as he stands strong, I'll stand with him.
And I'm damn sick and tired of the gleeful obituaries that have been penned from the start. I expect Biden to do well in Nevada and blow it out in the South Carolina. Then the real contest begins.

Btw, I'll be casting my vote for Joe tomorrow in TN, early voting. My husband and I racked up 2700 miles, 10 states in the last two weeks. My baby sister would have enjoyed her funeral service this past Friday. Our cousins from the area came out for her and we spent the entire day sharing childhood stories. She would have loved it.
Godspeed, Sis.

(11,477 posts)The first ceremony in Florida was very hard. A little less severe in Jersey though I found the finality of the burial hard to manage emotionally. But having our cousins come out, all the people we grew up with--sharing stories, laughing over them, remembering my sister as the Wild Child she'd always been made the whole thing a bit easier, not quite as grim.
But it was a lo-o-ong two weeks. Just picked up our puppy, so things will gradually return to normal. Or abnormal depending on how Miss Kiera wants to punish us for a 14-day stay at the kennel.
Thanks for the note.
I'll give a report from my local poll tomorrow after I vote--traffic, conversations picked up, etc. I'm eager to cast my personal vote for Joe.
Then we wait and see what happens.

(8,147 posts)and then, for me, the Biden promise comes true and I smile before a tear, but laughter, which my partner from such a large family in Ireland can share, is the best.
I wish you comfort and all the best in the days ahead, Peggysue2, and look forward to your report. Take good care of you. DOG bless puppy and family.

(1,887 posts)is dong every thing to prevent Biden from getting the nomination. Today I heard that the are pushing Republicans to
vote for Sanders in S. Carolina because they have a crossover ballot system, i.e. any Republican can vote Democratic.
Plus the Trump campaign has probably poured money into the Sanders campaign since Iowa. Sanders can't possibly
pull the lower candidates on the ballets with him. Very dangerous. We could lose the House and Senate if Sanders
is the nominee.

(11,477 posts)It was a blistering indictment of the pundits, talking heads and pollsters who have written off Biden, pushed instead the white preference for Sanders, Bloomberg, Mayor Pete, and Amy K. (the last two referred to as the so-called 'saviors from the Midwest').
The comment section was . . . a wake-up call. One of the main points was don't count your chickens 'till the Aunties speak. But it was also a serious heads-up on the predictions made by the MSM as to where the AA community sentiment really is. As in, how in the hell do you know how African Americans are leaning without talking to everyday African Americans? It was an angry, righteous post. And one thing was clear--the AA community knows who the enemy is, knows absolutely how urgent it is to sweep the Squatter-in-Chief and his merry band of destroyers from the scene.
We'll soon find out. It could get very interesting.
Keep the faith, gang.

(8,147 posts)Biden just held a gun control event in Las Vegas. No cable station carried it. Several survivor parents there. One mother introduced him. Her story brought Jill and Joe to tears.
He was the only candidate last night to being up gun control. Shame on moderators for not asking about it for media overlooking in post debate analysis.
And how the youth gun control movement could endorse Bernie I do not know.
