Warren 2020

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cbs-news-battleground-tracker-2020-poll-elizabeth-warren-rises-as-joe-biden-clings-to-delegate-edge/I posted this in the primaries forum to a bit of consternation. I thought I'd share it here since it gives me some inspiration to see her numbers still surging despite the fact that its still too early for the polls to mean much. I think she's set up in an awesome place going into the debate next week on the same stage with Joe for the first time and with great momentum. We know she will be prepared and almost assuredly own that stage!

(4,548 posts)I think all the Democrats have the roughly the same odds of beating Trump. Why not go for the person who will make the best president? We are going to need a clean up of epic proportions when/if we get the orange ape out of the WH. Warren is far better suited to do it.

(7,962 posts)Don't worry about the "consternation" in the other forum. Some Biden supporters on here get very upset when dats undermines their position that the early polls showing him ahead are all that matters in the nomination process and everyone else should just drop out now.

I was actually fantasizing about this while trying to fall asleep last night! Who her VP might be. What role Obama will have in her presidency. Happy to read yesterday that she was talking with Hillary. No doubt getting some good advice!
I am going to do everything personally in my power to get Madame Pres elected!!

(7,752 posts)The nation is ready for a woman president, men will vote for her too of course. Plus, she will be very refreshing after what we have been through. The nation needs healing, she will help facilitate that.

(3,830 posts)Since it's the primary, I'm going to speculate a little bit here.
The polls, even the ones showing Biden still holding a commanding lead, show Warren gaining ground.
A large part of Biden's support is from people who view him as the most electable candidate. If Warren continues to
cut into his lead and the perception of his "electability" is called into question, I expect a moderately sized exodus from Biden to Warren.
My other prediction is that without a win or top 2 finish in the first 3 contests, Bernie will stagnate. I'm sure he will
hang in until the bitter end, but he'll start bleeding voters that are mostly going to go to Warren.
I think Warren has the most wiggle room in the first few contests.
