Warren 2020
Related: About this forumWell today, Nov 7 is "national Warren hatchet job" day. Morning Joe has devoted anti Warren
segments for the entire program, starting with Steve Rattner. The WaPo and NYT feature anti Warren columns. The name calling of Warrens M4A proposal by Scarborough this morning was very disturbing.
If they had any balls they would give her the same amount of time to talk in depth about her proposal.
So disturbing.

(7,962 posts)Their segment with Popy Harlow and Jim Sciutto had Kirsten Powers from USA Today on and the latter was basically calling out those who attack her M4A plan and all three agreeing that Biden's line of attack was - wait for it - done with repub talking points.

(7,962 posts)Trying to fix this around the margins with plans that can be destroyed isn't a long-term solution. A public option would be much better than what we have for sure. I just don't know that what Biden wants to do is what i would call good. Remember Obama ran against the mandate then changed his mind when in office. People can debate whether the public option would have been passed (it did in the House), but we'll never know for sure now. I'm not convinced Biden would fight for that, and may just say well the ACA is good enough when it clearly is not.

(7,962 posts)It does become internecine warfare rather than debating plans. I don't have a problem with working toward a long-term M4A or public option as part of a change. I do think tweaking the ACA isn't going to solve our long-term healthcare problems due to the profit motive and corporations that don't want anything cutting into their cash cow.

She is smarter than them.
She would refute what they are saying with a smile.
