...
Warren and Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García, D-Ill., are co-sponsors of the “Bank Merger Review Modernization Act.”

The bill sponsors said their legislation “would have prevented the BB&T-SunTrust merger,” although some analysts say their too-big-to-fail concerns are misplaced with Truist.

The bill would have four main goals:
- Guaranteeing that a large-scale banking merger is in the public interest;
- Safeguarding the stability of the nation’s financial system;
- Examining the anticompetitive effects on banking products, such as commercial deposits, home mortgage lending and small business lending; and
- Ensuring that the merged bank has adequate financial and managerial resources.

“It’s time to stop rubber-stamping bank mergers at the expense of consumers, communities, workers and the financial system,” the co-sponsors said. ...

I have not heard any other candidate say anything about these "rubber stamping" of mergers, just look at what happened with CBS and Viacom.......................I remember when cable use to be $5.00 bucks now its around $150.00 to $200.00 a month............and now the country is down to six or seven television news programs, one being supported by donations Free Speech TV.....and two or more that are just propaganda shows of disinformation, flat out disinformation........that is not free market capitalism.............and has for phone mergers...........another BS scam................and then the big thing in the current room of the thought police is social media platforms, one in particular forum placing ads on the platform that are outright lies, and then just saying FU public, we have no principles to "FACT CHECK" ............................and he and others pays zero taxes.....................................

Yepper, that is why I support Senator Elizabeth Warren.......................she exposes the hypocrisy with her principles and understanding of the issue's....................
