A longtime girlfriend of mine went to school with her there, as did sports pundit and author Skip Bayless.

She reminds me of the good people I knew there growing up. Decent and down to earth but extremely capable. It would be cool to sit down with her and talk about growing up in the OKC area.

MT who were like that when I grew up there.

Even those who were Republican would have been absolutely appalled by everything that Trump is and does.

Unfortunately, I believe that those people must have died off, because the Republicans that I see today, whether in MT or elsewhere, have absolutely nothing in common with them.

There were differences between the parties even then. But no one that I knew in either party would have found treason, bribery, constant lying and cozying up to dictators acceptable.

Then there is so MUCH more that is unacceptable. One could go on forever.

The kind of hateful RW nutjobs and evangelical types were rarely elected when I was growing up. On the Democratic side we had people like Sen. Fred Harris and Reps. Mike Synar and Dave McCurdy. Even repubs like Henry Bellmon were decent people (he voted for the Panama Canal treaty and took abuse but it was a vote of conscience) but they are gone now.
