DU4 notifications problem

I can't seem to get rid of the subscription notifications that pop up on the left side of the screen. No matter how many times I click the "X" in the upper right corner of each notification, they keep coming back like zombies that refuse to die.

I realized it was a big mistake to be subscribed to General Discussion, since new stuff is pouring into GD all of the time. But unsubscribing didn't help. The left side of the screen is still full of GD notifications (double entrendre intended).

I marked all of GD as read. Still no joy.

For the notification list to be useful to me, it needs to show me nothing more than new posts in low-traffic forums, and the notifications need to disappear after clicking on the X and/or reading the related discussion.

Yeah subscribing to General Discussion is not really recommended, it's a bit of a firehose

When you say "No matter how many times I click the "X" in the upper right corner of each notification, they keep coming back" do you mean that the X button simply doesn't work -- the notification will not clear? Or do you mean that it clears, but then more GD notifications keep coming?

As soon as you unsubscribe, the notifications should stop coming. If you are definitely unsubscribed to GD, but GD notifications continue to arrive up in your left column, that's a bug.

2. The notification clears momentarily, but comes back after refreshing the page...

To clarify, the same notification returns later after being cleared, not merely different notifications for the same forum.
