Heritage DU: Main page, upper left has "Main", with all top level forums listed - Announcements, LBN, Editorials & Other Articles, Video & Multimedia, General Discussion, The DU Lounge, Community Help, Ask the Administrators. When I click on "Enter Discussion Forums", and then click on the "Forums and Groups" tab at the top, I get to the top level of all forums plus a list of all topics and can find anything.DU4: Main page, upper left has only three forums listed - LBN, General Discussion & The DU Lounge. When I click on Enter Discussion Forums at the top, it puts me into the "Latest Discussions" forum. I cannot find Announcements, Editorials & Other Articles, Video & Multimedia, Community Help, Ask the Administrators or any of the topics. For DU4, you need a list with links to all top level forums on the lead page (like heritage DU, upper left), and/or a link to a page that has links to all top level forums.

(48,721 posts)Still, for Editorials, from EarlG:
Editorials & Other Articles:

Editorials & Other Articles is not currently displayed in a category because it's scheduled to be removed on DU4 *but* this isn't confirmed yet -- one of the last things we're going to do in this whole process is figure out which Topic Forums should stay and which should be retired, or combined with other forums. That will be a discussion which will involve input from all DUers, I'm sure everyone will have an opinion.
So yeah, it's a known issue that one of the problems currently on DU4 is confusion about the forums, but we're going to resolve this a bit later on.
Videos: go to the NAVIGATE and you will find links to Video, LBN. Search will let you get into Community help

(22,518 posts)Announcements and Community Help are now at Navigate > Help & Search
Tip: Go to those forums and click the "Subscribe" button at the top. Links to those forums will now appear in your left-column navigation (on all devices except mobile). If you do this with all the forums you like, you can create your own menu.
Finding missing forums: On DU4 there is no Forums & Groups page because the Navigate menu does that job. The lower buttons on the Navigate menu point to DU's new list of forum categories, which have been pared down considerably from the list of categories on DU3. The categories are now:
Culture Forums: Forums for people who are interested in discussing the arts and other typically non-political subjects (eg. History, Science, Photography, Sports, etc.)
Alliance Forums: Safe-space forums for members of various political or cultural groups and their allies to talk about their issues (eg. Asian Group, LGBT, Jewish Group, etc.)
Region Forums: Forums for people who are interested in discussing subjects connected by geographic area (eg. all the state forums, U.S. Territories, United Kingdom, etc.)
Support Forums: Safe-space forums for members who want to give or receive assistance with various personal issues (eg. Addiction & Recovery, Cancer Support, Mental Health Support, etc.)
Help & Search: Site Announcements, DU Community Help, and General Computer Help can be found here. If you are a Main Forum Host or MIRT member, links to those forums also appear here. This page also contains options for searching DU.

If you think about the forum you're looking for, it should hopefully be obvious which of those categories it will be in.
Editorials & Other Articles, Video & Multimedia: These forums are due for retirement on DU4. Video & Multimedia is replaced with the new Latest Videos page. Editorials & Other Articles is still under discussion and might not be retired after all. Both forums exist on DU4 but they're not listed right now. You can get to them by visiting the forum on DU3, then change "www" in your address bar to "du4"
Meanwhile, the current listing of forums is not finalized and is still up for debate. Getting the forums finalized is one of the last things we plan to do before launch.
Ask the Administrators: I literally just now realized that I've completely forgotten to include that on DU4 I think the best thing would be to include it on the Contact page. I'll work on that.
